    Christmas 2018 Starts Here!

In the Daisy household today, Saturday, is the start of Christmas so I thought it would be nice to have a thread for our Christmas and New Year comings and goings.

This morning started early and poor OH set off in the dark to do the supermarket shop. So far he's rung three times with queries from my lengthy list. The last one was "Do you want stuffing?" He means of the sage and onion variety, but I hope no-one was listening at his end!!!

As I've mentioned elsewhere both GSs will be here for a sleepover tonight, then tomorrow there will be 9 of us for lunch. I've made and frozen casseroles, so I just need to remember to get them out of the freezer tonight.

Sleepover for us tonight too . GS1, the poor sleeper. Matchsticks for Grandma's eyes tomorrow please!! I invited GD and GS2 over tomorrow too. In for a penny in for a pound, so that's our pre Christmas weekend!

I think I said on Chat that I need cream and Wensleydale, and also mince pies as I can't be bothered to make them this year! I will venture out this morning to see what I can find. At least with only a couple of things to get I can join the self service queue!

Sherry what a good idea Enfys

We forgot the hairdresser was coming at 11!! I decided not have have mine cut though as she took too much off last time, so now it is just right!

I went to the library bus for mum, then we called to Sainsbury's for mince pies and cream and OH fancied peanuts so got some. No Wensleydale though,
I will go to see mum later, then back for GS1's arrival.

Making more mince pies today, had to nip to the local shop for some more flour. Christmas hasn't started here, Sil and GS2 (who has just arrived home for Christmas) are going to the local brewery to collect the barrel, I am not sure what is happening later. Must, must, wrap the presents tomorrow.

Our GSs have arrived, plus Bailey, their Border Collie. We haven't seen the boys since last half term, and I can't believe how they've grown!! They're both quite a bit taller than me and very nearly as tall as their mum! It's so nice to see them.

I went to farmfoods on the way to my mums for frozen diced swede (Mashed swede is the one thing my mum must have for Christmas dinner!)
I was able to park right on front of the building, it was almost empty and I just walked up to the checkout!!
