New year is our day to host so will do that shopping after Christmas day , we only put a buffet on with hot options like a Curry ,Chilli, etc along with lots of finger food and pies , about 15 coming I think , quite a squeeze in our little shoe box but everyone enjoys the day
Christmas has been on hold over the week-end and today! We were busy all week-end and today we've been getting ready for the decorators to start tomorrow - we hope! We were expecting them to ring to get the colours we've chosen, but there's plenty of preparation to do before they even get a paintbrush out. I'm taking Eva over to DS2's to play with Cooper and keep her out of the way.
DIL1, bless her, has given us suggestions for both grandsons, so I can get those online, I hope! I hope to write some more cards tomorrow if the dogs will leave me alone to get o with them.
DS2 and DIL put up their tree and some decorations at the week-end and this morning GD2 ran into her mummy and daddy's bedroom shouting "It's looks all Christmassy downstairs." I wonder if she'd forgotten she helped with the tree!!! Both the girls ran into the house to switch the tree lights on when we got home from school.

No decorations up yet, will do it next week. parcels waiting to be wrapped (send B will you Oma) I have not received GD2's present yet, hope it comes soon. Cards posted, local ones being delivered by the scouts. Do you go on sending cards to past friends who you haven't had a card from? Perhaps they have passed away or decided to give to charity.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
I do keep on a for a couple of years Plant, as cards could get mislaid in the post, or the sender may have inadvertently left you off .
If I have 2 years with no card, I would probably stop and not send one the following year.

Plant, it's difficult to know what to do about past friends. If I haven't heard from them for a couple of years I send one final card with my address on the back, then if it's not returned 'Unkown' or something, I stop.
