    Almost finished or barely begun?

How is it all going in your house?

We have no Christmas tree or decorations up yet but hopefully we will by the beginning of next week,.
Our Christmas cake is made, but I have yet to marzipan and ice it, which I will do next week, perhaps.
All my Christmas card are written and the ones for the post were posted yesterday. Feeling quite smug about that one
The Canada parcel has been posted.
The majority of the present shopping is done, but not all.

I am all finished with the cards written and posted, except the hand delivered ones. All the presents are bought and wrapped. I have bought all the Christmas goodies I am taking to my son’s where I will be for Christmas. I haven’t put up any decorations yet, but I will do that before I go on holiday next Sunday. I also need to pack for my holiday. I don’t actually feel very Christmassy yet though. That will all change once I get on the ship where they always do Christmas in a BIG way.

Oooh have a super time Sunshine. Where are you going?
No cards written but they are purchased along with the stamps. 3GC done, 1 to go...if only she would give me a hint and the DDs and SsiLaws stockings. Nothing made yet for brothers and wives but I have a cunning plan. I’ll have to get my finger out I think, or we will have Christmas in March!

No cards written and no presents wrapped. I do have presents for everyone except Dil. My very small tree will not be up until a week before Christmas day. I have the stamps, plus scout stamps for the local cards.

Everyone seems to be doing ok with the Christmas prep. Well done.
It’s a shame your GS has changed his mind about his Nintendo switch Oma. Just when you think it’s sorted they come up with another idea.
Grauntie, I am going on Mediterranean Cruise. We are stopping at Gibraltar, Cartagena, Ibiza, Valencia, Cadiz and Portugal. I have been on a cruise the last few years during the run up to Christmas. It really sets me up for the winter. I love it.

As I mentioned in Chat, I'm starting my Christmas shopping today - the things I can get online. I've got a few ideas, thank goodness.

I've actually posted the cards to go abroad, and I've even started to write the others.

As for food - I have to start thinking about that. We're doing a lot of entertaining this year!

The GSs are here for a sleepover the week-end before Christmas Day, and on the Sunday when their parents come to pick them up, we've invited OH's eldest sister, her OH and one of their DDs for lunch. Our niece had kindly invited us to theirs, but with having the boys staying, we thought it would be better them coming to us. So that's lunch for 9, or 13 if DS2 and family come too, plus 2 or 3 dogs.

Christmas Day - just 8 of us, plus 2 dogs

Boxing Day - not sure yet, probably 10, plus 2 or 3 dogs

The next day - sleep!! Ooops, no, it's GD2's birthday.

New Year's Eve - 7 for dinner, plus 2 dogs!

I think I ought to join Sunshine on her cruise to prepare myself.

I would swap your 8 for our 3 on Christmas Day

Wow Daisy that is certainly a lot of cooking sweetie.
I have all the little ones presents sorted its the first Christmas for my 2 youngest GGCs and even though they won't understand weither its Xmas Day or Shrove Tuesday we are looking forward to see their little faces.
GGD who is now 2yrs 9mths is just coming to the age where she understands that gifts are the order of the day and is very excited we will see them all on Xmas day for an hour or so,DS & DIL & baby are off to her mums and DGS his partner and 2 GGCs are staying at home for a family day,at the moment my DGS has taken his family to Disney World in Paris so little GGD can experience the magic of Disney he is such a caring daddy.
Most of the cards are writen and I only have a few to post so no problem there,I have bought everyone Xmas boxes this year so am not bothering to wrap everything except the things that don't fit in .
We are out on Xmas day to a local restaurant for our lunch (a present to DD & the children as she is poorly at the minute).
This hasn't stopped me buying Xmas goodies to treat ourselves too I love boxing day when John and I sit and enjoy a good wine and graze on buffet style food for the day.
On the 27th its my DGS4 birthday so we will have a buffet party for him with just family popping in before he goes out for the night with his friends.
The 31st is the birthday of DGS2 the father of my GGCs so we will see him and his family for a mini party before he goes off with his partner to a show in Liverpool followed by a meal at Gino de Campo's I got the offer of groupon for them back in early November I hope it lives up to expectations.
                          Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

I know, Gem, and I'm not moaning - I know I'm blessed and I'm eternally grateful. But I do want to make sure they are all well-fed and feel cosseted and cared for.

Glamm - your DGS4 and my GD2 share a birthday. Not great timing is it! The nnext day it's one of my niece's (who is also my God daughter) 30th birthday.

Well, since being on here this morning, I've found half a dozen or so stocking fillers for both GDs, a couple of small presents for adults, toys for family doggies and our usual Yorkies calendar for the kitchen, plus a sweet bracelet for my Goddaughter's 30th. I hope she likes it.
