    Christmas hamper.

This year we have decided to do a hamper for Mam and Dad.
They had quite a few hampers bought last year, but they contained a lot of things they don't eat.
So, we have decided to put our own hamper together.
It's mainly everday kind of items, that we know they will use.,so far we have got

    Box of biscuits
    Teabags
    Mince pies
    Pringles
    Liquorice allsorts
    Jelly babies
Dolly mixtures (they do like their sweeties)
    2 small Christmas puddings
    Cashew nuts (Dads favourite)
    Large bar of Cadburys chocolate.
i will be making them a Christmas cake.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Nanto, what a lovely idea. I’ve often looked at ready-made hampers and realised the possible recipient wouldn’t eat some of it. This way the can have all their favourites. 👍😀

        Great idea Nan2

My DDs have done this for my mum a few times. Like you buying things she will actually eat and enjoy, instead of the ready made hampers (which are very expensive!!)

Last Christmas I did a hamper for each of my eldest grandchildren. They absolutely loved it. As well as lots of edible goodies, I also packed it with their favourite toiletries. I snuck a cheque in too, so they could get a treat in the January sales. They had both gone away to Uni and College in the autumn, so were having their first experience of full on budgeting. All these special treats went down a storm.

Sunshine - what a lovely idea. I bet they are both hoping for the same this year!

They are getting a mini version of the same this year, but a big fat cheque. They are going on a Caribbean Cruise over Christmas, so the money will be to spend on excursions from the ship. I want them to ‘make memories.’
