    Started Christmas shopping

I have bought GS3's present. I have been wanting to buy him the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe car. I bought one for GS1 at the same age. I have been looking for a while, and it was coming up at £70 if not more. Amazon now has it for £62.99 so I have ordered it as I imagine the price will rise rather than fall. He is too young for pocket money, so I can give him extra Plus he brings me so much happiness every week.

Christmas shopping and planning begins for me after the October birthdays, GD's is over and I have GS1's bought and wrapped for next week so I can start.

As mentioned on a separate thread my attempt to cut down on the number of family presents this year didn't work!

It’s wise to get it while it’s that price,
I think if I had little ones to buy for I would start early also 😁

Gem, that will be a lovely present, and even better that you've got it at a good price.

I hesitate to confess this here, but I have booked a slot for Sainsbury's for Christmas delivery!

Well, if I hadn't done it now I probably wouldn't have got a slot when I'd normally think about it - say around 21st December!!!

I am one that used to think Christmas shopping was done just before Christmas, when, there was a Christmas feel about buying presents. I just got a message from a friend saying all her Christmas shopping is done and already parcelled up!

On the other hand, I took GD2 the trousers I made for her the other day, she was still at school then went straight to bed when she got home as she had the flu, she was feeling better yesterday and tried the trousers on, she sent me a message saying how pleased she was with them etc etc, that touches me!

Lizzie, I agree with you. I want to prepare for Christmas about a week beforehand, apart from making a Christmas cake, of course.

We don't have to buy a lot of presents, but I can see why those with long lists of people they want to buy for need to get started a bit earlier. I do feel a bit sad though that shops, garden centres, etc all seem to have their Christmas displays up in September.

Plant, we have two birthdays immediately after Christmas, which is also hard to be creative about presents when everything is labelled "Merry Christmas".
