    Truly smudgeproof mascara

Is there one? Have you found it?
I have tried various smudgeproof and waterproof mascaras. I have yet to find one which doesn't leave me with Panda Eyes to some degree.
I have tried various price ranges.
I would say the best I have tried and have bought a few times is Maybelline Waterproof, which is inexpensive. It does still smudge sometimes however, and doesn't particularly emphasise the lashes - the job is is meant to do!

    Any recommendations?

Never Gem and I have tried lots , long lash , curl, fuller lash , smudge proof , water proof , clump proof , not one does what it claims to do,

At the moment I'm using a expensive Estee Lauder one still get some smudge ,
I have even tried these ones where you put a conditioner on your lashes first let it dry and then add mascara, no joy there either ,

I have tried from 99p to £25 that is my currant one ( it was a gift I didn't pay that much for it ) and I don't find a great deal of difference in them all j

There must be one out there but I'm not sure I would be prepared to pay a vast amount for one that does the job as I'm sure it will be expensive

I never buy waterproof mascara havnt felt the need for it, but I have very sparse eyelashes due to a thyroid problem, I buy from e bay it’s American something called Lashes brow lashes it’s not cheap the cheapest I have got is £14 you put a coat of mascara on then this lash thing and it extends your lashes puts fibres on the end then another coat of mascara to blend it all in , works ok don’t think there is anything apart from false lashes that does the job 👁

Bobbi Brown does a smudge proof mascara which I use but I must admit it is expensive which is why I usually only buy it in the sales or duty free, L’Oreal also do a very good one and much cheaper but I find it doesn’t last as long as the Bobbi one before going all clumpy in the tube. I also wear false eyelashes a lot of the time which I really like and put a little touch of mascara on if I want to glam myself up a bit (though why I do that is anyone’s guess as nobody takes any notice of me!). I bought some magnetic ones which were on offer at £4.99 a pair instead of the usual £19. Thank goodness I bought them cheap because I am beggared if I can get the little suckers on my lashes let alone to stay on!

I use something by Clarins that goes over mascara. It works very well but not all sales staff have heard of it.

I have used Boots No 7 and Clinique and they have both been very good and Boots No 7 comes at a more competitive price !

I usually buy a Maybeline or Max Factor mascara, but I don't wear it very often so usually end up throwing them away - I don't like leaving them too long because bacteria can build up on them. So if I find one I like, by the time I buy another I've either forgotten what it was called, or they no longer produce it! If I'm going on a beach type holiday I have my eye lashes dyed.

I usually use kohl pencil on my lower lids and that tends to add a bit of colour to my eyelashes as well.

I couldn’t possibly have my eye lashes dyed. I cannot stand anyone doing anything with my eyes, I have even taken eyes off my organ donation card both the physical one and the on line one. Much rather do falsies if no mascara available that is suitable except of course those Bruddy magnetic ones ......

Shem - that sounds very interesting. I wonder why it's not better known!

I tried that Clarins stuff once but found my eyes itched. I couldn’t prove it was the product but the itching subsided after I stopped using it. No 7 does a mascara primer which I used for a while but then I went on to something else. I am a bit of a fiend for make up and mascara I must admit. I do try to stop myself but invariably decide to give new things a try. Could give Superdrug a run for its money with some products. Boots do a lash promoter which you put on at night and it’s is supposed to make your lashes grow but it didn’t work for me and I saw no difference after six weeks.

I very rarely wear makeup. I have had my eyelashes & eyebrows dyed for years now. Can you remember hundreds of years back when there was the little block mascara? I bet there was more than me who spat on it to moisten it to brush on. Only in emergencies of course.😂
