    New handbag......

Well look, yes I have just been on holiday, but I haven't bought a new handbag OR indeed a proper pair of shoes since before my November holiday. when I say "proper" pair of shoes those who know me will remember that I have had trouble with my feet recently due to falling off a pair of said"proper" shoes and being absolutely sober at the time - or it would not have hurt so much.

WELL NOW I HAVE A NEW HANDBAG and it is very Bruddy luverly and I will take a picture tomorrow to show you. BIG smiley face......

        Welcome back Zizi
Although I can never understand this obsession with shoes that lots of women have ,I LOVE bags. You can't have too many

I have three handbags, one black, one brown and a light coloured one for the summer. I am the same with shoes pretty much, comfort is more importasnt. Now jumpers and tops are another matter.

I used to buy loads of shoes and bags when I was younger.Every pair of shoes had a matching bag.I just get new shoes and bag when I need them.Skirts and pretty tops are my downfall.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Welcome back Zizi, pleased your holiday was great!

My feet are still fine but my knees are not as they have osteoarthritis and wearing heels is a bit problematic. I can still do it at social functions but wearing flats has put me off shoe buying, so now I go for comfort but with as much va va boom as I can get away with. Bags, well I have around 20 but I have had them for so many years and never seem to buy new bags or throw old bags away!

Oh for the old stiletto wearing days

I have lots of bags but always come back to my tried and trusted leather bucket bag which I have had for many years,I waterproof the leather every year to keep it nice and supple,I have not seen one similar for many years
and just love it. I use a cross body bag most days in a tan leather which I bought in Debenhams sale a few years ago I had shied away from buying a Radley bag for a long time as I couldn't justify the cost for an everyday bag
but when I saw the reduction in price there was no contest Now shoes I can take or leave them as long as I have my trusty boots and a pair of croc's handy but I do have some rather poshy type shoes for when dressing up
                  is called for

Bags are my downfall too , I do have lots of lovely dressy shoes one pair I have worn once with a ball gown they are brown velvet with diamonds (fake of course ) they are so lovely but don't see the light of day . I tend to wear Black patent leather all the time I have about 5 pair all the same just a medium size heel I can only wear high heels if I know there isn't much walking and I can sit down ,I look like Dick Emery walking in heels
Im not fat just 6ft too small

I couldn't be bothered transferring all the items from one bag to the other, I think they should let you try out purses and handbags, the ones I have now are just right with flaps and pockets in the right place.

I bought a lovely bag when we were in York and met Gemini and other half for tea and chat , The day before we went to Macarther Glen ( is that how its spelt Gemini ?) and I just couldn't resist it a bit expensive but its well made and lots of pockets its sort of a Denim blue leather , I bought one there last year in the same shop a black one and its still like new

Almost Oma, its McArthur, like the name
That sound a lovely bag. I pass McArthur Glen every week to drive out of York to GDs school. I am a good girl and almost never go in!

Actually, if we all put our heads together we could swop our handbags between us!

Anything we didn't like any more which was in good nick we could put up here and if someone liked it, and had a bag to suggest swopping it with BINGO

Elisi, with so many handbag lovers, that could catch on!

I like the bags I like, if that makes sense. My current everyday one is purple and small enough to stop me carrying the kitchen sink round, but large enough to get a purse and phone in. It was a bargain from TK Maxx and I love it. I've got bags for special occasions - like blingy silver ones, a sensible black one, evening bags, a classic black patent clutch, and a whole collection of 'failed' bags. I like them in the shop but they're not that practical, or not special enough to make me change all my stuff from one back to another.
