Since my asthma has somewhat taken over my life I have struggled on a morning to get dressed I have opened the door twice for the postman delivering parcels I hated the fact he saw me in dressing gown and slippers. sometimes I do my housework in them and then get a bath or shower do those of us retired and having the odd day off from child minding get dressed straightaway what do you jump into if going nowhere

Qwerty, I hardly ever get dressed as soon as I get up. I make a cup of tea and usually come on here while I drink it, then depending on what's happening that day I might empty the dishwasher, put washing on, even hang it out, before getting a shower and dressed. If I'm not going out, at this time of the year I tend to wear joggers, t-shirt and jumper - something I can take the dog out in, potter round the garden, even do a bit of housework. So just do whatever is comfortable for you. I'm sure the postman has people answer the door in far less than a dressing gown!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Don't even posses a dressing gown or slippers. I get dressed straight away. I've always thought putting on garments and then taking them off to put something else on as a bit daft!

I get dressed straight away, and put make-up on before I go downstairs - everyday. No matter what I am doing . I do tend to bath early in the evening and then put my dressing gown on for relaxing and watching the telly though.Grandmothers are just antique little girls - author unknown

My OH gets dressed straight away. Unless there is a reason to, such as going out or someone expected, I don't. I come downstairs in pj's. I have breakfast, come online, maybe potter about a bit.I then shower and get dressed.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Potter in dressing gown, then shower and dressed. Leggings and T shirts for just in the house or looking after GK's. Much smarter when going out, really as OH loves to look smart and likes me to as well.Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. T.S Eliot

Unless I'm going to a special event (wedding etc) I don't wear make up. I normally hang around in joggy bottoms & t-shirt if I'm not going out. Well, what do you expect, I did belong to the Sluts Club

if I am working at home I am always at my desk (well dining table) at 7.30 am, sometimes in PJs BUT if I am doing a conference call (often early conference calls) I need to get dressed and do my hair - yes I know they cannot see me but I KNOW! I rarely have a slob day. If I am going out I get ready early as I detest worrying about getting to the railway station and having to run to get the damned thing. I Have done a couple of days where I just couldn't be bothered to get dressed, lazy bag that Iam, but it is quite rare. I never leave the house without full slap but what that constitutes depends on where I am going and what I am doing. If it is local shopping or stuff it will be cream to powder foundation, eye liner, brow mascara stuff and proper mascara and Vaseline or light lip gloss. If I am going to an external meeting I will do the lot, brows, eyelashes, foundation, eye shadow and liners, proper lined lips and stay fast lip gloss. It rarely takes me more than fifteenminutes to stick my slap on unless I am having a day when the eyelashes decided to play up and want to go in their own direction. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
