    Eye lash tinting

Ladies have any of you had your Eye lashes Tinted ?
I have been looking into this it seems it only lasts about 4-6 weeks or as long as it takes for your eyelashes to grow ,
As some of you know I have times when my hands shake a little and times when they shake a LOT , this means putting mascara on some days impossible , IM not thinking of doing it regular but maybe if we go away for a few days or if we can at some point have a holiday it would save the hassle of trying to put mascara on , and views on this ladies please

Yes Oma I have. Done well it's a painless procedure but if not it stings like hell. When I have mine done I also have an eyebrow shape & eyebrow tint. Like you I just do it as a treat. With eye op' I've not been able to have it done tho recently. Just make sure you get the right colour. After one disaster I looked like Charlie Chaplin. 👀

Oma, as you know my OH is very fair and has light lashes. From time to time she has hers tinted and it looks great. It has never hurt her. I say go for it

Usually have mine done before going on holiday. Only time I had a problem was when the girl said "right, that's done" and I thought she meant it was finished when she had just finished applying the dye! I opened my eyes and it was so sore and painful! I always double check after that experience!

I would not have anything done to my eyes. I have a complete fear of things being in my eyes. I have even crossed eyes off my donor card. My husband, because of his glaucoma, has had four eye operations while he is awake, they would have to give me a general anaesthetic to get anywhere near me! I can do my own eye make up however,

I do spend a bit of money on cosmetics but have to admit that recently I have found a rimmel mascara which claims to darken your lashes over a period of time. I often wear false lashes but still use mascara on them to "bind" them so they don't stand out against my natural lashes. I would say that the Rimmel mascara is doing a good job and I have noticed my natural lashes are darker. Costs something like £6.99 compared to some of my mascaras which cost more than twenty quid a time. I don't think I would like to have my lashes dyed to be honest. Would cause me a lot of stress.

They would have a job to find my eye lashes and eyebrows.

I have my eyelashes tinted when I go on holiday because I'm always in and out of the sea/pool.

Oma - make sure they do a skin test at least a couple of days beforehand and as others have said be careful about keeping your eyes closed while it's being done.

I find I look a bit panda-eyed immediately afterwards (it cleans off when I get home) so I make sure I go straight home after having it done. It fades gradually over 4-5 weeks, so I wouldn't want to do it all the time.

Thanks Daisy ,the place I will go to is the same place GS 1 DD plus my friend have gone for years for their hair cuts , a bit upmarket but very professional. My friend has been having the same hair dye on for years but they still insist on regular patch tests in case any ingredient has changed or she has developed a allergy to it , plus can never be too careful where your eyes are concerned can you xx

Oma - it sounds like a well-run salon. Even if you're not planning to go away it's a nice treat to give yourself. Mid-December might be a good time so you look glam for the end of that month!
