    Hair Dye

This morning I have had my hair cut and coloured,
I went for a chestnut brown with streaks of red,
I know for a fact the red will fade very quickly but it looks nice for a couple of weeks,
Colours like that don't stay in my hair ,

DD has tried blue and purple when she had Black hair and hers never lasted as well,

Yet my niece can have any colour and hers stays for months,
She had pink and blue done about 3 months ago and it's still going strong,

Do you have any colours and does it last?

Oma, I just colour my own hair with semi permanent dye. I have gone from dark brown to mid brown to light brown and now I use dark blond as they tell us we should go lighter as we get older!
It lasts about a month and its definitely a lot lighter by the end of that time!

My DD1, 21 years my junior stopped colouring hers some time ago. I keep thinking about it but I don't think I'm ready.
If I knew my hair would go all one colour like my school friend and Daisy, I would stop colouring it, but I don't think it will. If it was like theirs I would want some pink or blue or lilac in it.

I used to use henna then when I started going grey, many years ago, I just let it happen.

Lizzie I used to buy blocks of red and brown henna from Lush and mix them, for several years.
        I did like the smell

Gem, I liked the colour of your hair on a recent FB photo, and everyone says the same - you need to go lighter as you get older. My hair has been this colour for many years, and I quite fancied some pale lilac and pink streaks . I happened to mention it to OH, and he was so horrified I didn't do it!

Oma, I think some hair takes colour better than others. Most hairdressers I've ever been to have been reluctant to colour mine at all.

I'm like Gem if I knew my hair would go all one colour I would be tempted to leave it but it has a bit hear and there ,
But I must admit I'm thinking more and more of going natural .
I was tempted today to just leave it so I think I might do that , I will see .

I haven't coloured my hair for years. When i did, i always used to do it blonde.
Mine is grey all over, but i don't mind it.
