    How Depressing

I need to replace a few items in my wardrobe this winter (mainly because I've lost weight, on purpose, and some things are a big on the large side).

So, not wanting to visit crowded shops I've been looking online, and I could weep. Page after page of beige, black, cream, grey, dark drown, dark green, sludgy, dreary shades. I would be lovely to find some bright, cheerful colours. Romans has some colourful tops but they're nowhere near cosy enough for a chilly mortal like me. As for M&S - everything I looked at was marked "out of stock online", every single thing.

I say the same the colours are awful , so dreary and as you say sludgy .
And everything aimed at under 40's I find .
I do have lots of sleeveless tops from Roman I wear cardigans with that are nice colours
I'm not good with jumpers or long sleeve blouses although I do have a few they are very lightweight.

I have just bought a long line cardigan from Roman in a lovely turquoise colour.

Im not fat just 6ft too small

Daisy, have you looked at Cotton Traders recently? They often have nice colours.

Lizzie, many thanks for the link. There are some nice styles there. I've had a quick look, but need to explore more.

Oma, I really need layers of long sleeves for the winter, but that cardigan is a lovely cheerful colour.

Gem, our posts crossed. No, I haven't, but I do often buy from Cotton Traders. I'll have another look. Many thanks. x

Gem, we've got a local EWM branch, so I can have a look. I like to try on there as I find their sizes aren't very accurate. But I hadn't thought of them, so thanks for the reminder. xx

Try White Suff, or Hobbs or Phase 8. A bit pricy but look at the Sale items and they are well made and will not date.

I have used White Stuff quite a lot but I don’t wear bright colours.

I have two lovely swimsuits from White Stuff. Its not easy to find a suit that is supportive enough for all the jumping about, but not too sporty. These are really nice. I liked the first so bought a second in a different pattern. Not that you are looking for swimwear Daisy I know

Thank you all for the White Stuff suggestions. My DIL1 often buys from there, but for some reason I never thought about them for clothes. I always think it's for bedding and towels!
