    Clothes

We were talking today about how fashions change and some make a come back ,
I realised that there are certain things I have never owned or wore , those are

    T-shirts
    Fleeces
    Jumpers
    Leggings/ Jogging bottoms

I Did in my younger days have Jeans but never wore them since I was about 25
And I did in my youth (17-18) have a couple of Silky polo necks but never woollens .
I wear cardigans but can’t stand jumpers .

It took me years to own a pair of trainers even now I’m not keen
I prefer my sketchers and loafers now I can’t wear heals .

I have never been one for casual clothes ,
I must have been the only one I knew in the 80s who didn’t own a shell suit either 🤣

I was watching a programme with vintage dresses , oh how I wish I had the waist for them now but I wouldn’t get half past my thighs never mind zip them up 🤣🤣
They are very popular with the young now and they said hot pants are rumoured to be making a come back ,
I think they already wear Daisy dukes and those cycling shorts so hot pants won’t be anything new will they .

Oma, a friend once told me I have my own fashion, I have as well, never gone with the trends, colours etc etc. I love jeans in the winter, wear skirts, t shirts and blouses all summer long, as I have my tights etc I don't get cold so I am still wearing them! I have a few maxi skirts, I have had them years, I tried them on the other morning and ordered boots to wear with them, with having the special soles they sadly won't fit in the boots that I have (had).

Coats and jackets are another question, I love them!!! Jumpers as well, the most I have had years as well, I do need to get some sorted out.

To be honest I don’t know why I just never think of buying them 😁

I haven’t worn a skirt for ages. I mostly wear tops and trousers. I do like nice woollen jumpers and cardigans as I do feel the cold.

I have worn t-shirts in the past, but prefer what i call tops now.
Not worn jeans for many years either.
Never had a pair of leggings or jogging bottoms.
I think to wear leggings you need to have nice shaped legs.
Some that wear them look horrendous, in my opinion.
I only have 3 jumpers and i sometimes wear one in winter if we are going to be out for a few hours.
          Prefer cardigans myself.
Now skirts i do like. I have loads. Not a dress person person really.
I wear a dress if we are going somewhere special and i want to look a bit dressy.
In fact i think i only have about 6 dressess. 2 of them have still got tags on them, and i've them a few years.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

            I think I wear everything!

I love dresses and have several for summer and winter.
I have several pairs of jeans in black and blue - all Bon Marche for the length.I have a few pairs of black trousers and several other colours for summer
I wear crop trousers but never shorts.
I do have a couple of pairs of leggings. Worn only at home with long tops. I do not have good legs!! I also have some very comfortable navy Dash jogging bottoms for relaxing at home and sometimes going to the pool in.
I wear t shirts, tunics ( love those) blouses, jumpers, cardigans etc. No wonder I need so many wardrobes and drawers

I wear mostly jeans or jeggings (sort of denim leggings). I've got some boot cut jeans but prefer skinny ones. I've got lots of crop trousers for summer, black smart ones for winter, and three or four pairs of shorts. I love t-shirts and tops, fleeces, baggy jumpers, and in the winter, anything warm and cosy. I've got a couple of polo neck tops but it has to be very cold to make me wear them.

I've bought a couple of dresses this summer, but only have one winter dress. I can't remember when I last bought a skirt, but have a couple tucked away just in case.

I've just bought two pairs of jeans from Land's End and I love them. They're slightly stretchy, lovely fabric and fit well.

The mention of hot pants made me smile, and shiver at the same time!

I remember wearing them when I worked in Liverpool in the late 60s, in winter. I eventually bought a maxi coat because it was so cold walking up into town from the ferry - the wind was vicious (I'm sure Glamma will know what I mean!). But fashion was everything then, and I loved my hot pants.

One of my school friends had velvet hot pants I remember. She was an only child and always had the latest fashion!
I didn't have any and neither did any of my other friends. Like you Daisy she wore them with her maxi coat to keep her legs warm

Your friend was lucky, Gem. I suppose I was married and working by then so it was a bit different. Did she have the white Courreges boots as well? Fashions seemed to change so quickly in the 60s.

I'm not sure Daisy but I remember she had a pair of those wet-look knee high boots that I coverted!

I had both Hot pants and the white boots and a Velvet Purple Maxi coat , I thought I was the bees knees
The first day I wore my Maxi coat my little niece threw up on me on the bus 😱😁
My mother recovered it no bother but I was so upset I remember .

I remember wearing bright green hot pants with a mutton sleeve cheesecloth shirt , I went to a party for my friends Birthday and there must have been 10 of us with the same shirt on 😁

I had a floaty white one I wore with my light blue denim flares. I thought I was the bees knees too

I’m a fan of baggy boho stuff. Not flattering but very comfortable. If I see something I like I wear it regardless of what OH and other people think. Not a fan of leggings though. From the knee upwards my legs have lost shape. OH says I couldn’t stop a pig in a ginnel! I do love a maxi dress but I find heels difficult as they give me back ache, and being short, flats don’t look as nice.
I had suede hot pants, was wearing them when I met OH! I had a suede coat too, thought I was the bees knees. I saved bits of the coat for the leather and recently I used some to make some glasses cases. (Yes, I have carted the bits of leather and many other weird things about for many years!)
