    Coat hangers

Is it only me that had different coat hangers for different clothes ,
    B thinks I’m daft

For his shirts and Jumpers I have the big black hangers men’s suits come on
For both our Trousers I use Wooden D shaped hangers
For T shirts I have Thick D shaped plastic hangers
For my Dressers and Blouses I use the flock covered D shaped hangers.
For my Cardigans I bought special ones that have sort of a dropped sided shape to prevent shoulder lumps

B thinks it doesn’t matter what goes on what hangers but it drives me mad if he does that ,
Is it just me being OCD ? 🤪

    Its not just you Oma.
I use proper skirt hangers for skirts.
I use the flocked non slip ones for tops, dresses, hubby's shirts and all our trousers.
A little trick i use is hanging the hangers on ring pulls, for things that aren't too long.
You may be able to see what i mean from the photos.

I've got different hangers because they just happen to find their way into our house - possibly from shops, or when OH was working and wearing suits, from the dry cleaners. I have banished all wire hangers - the dry cleaner ones are yellow or blue plastic and I use them for my trousers. I try to put heavy things on sturdy hangars, but otherwise it's a free-for-all in our wardrobes!

Nanto - many thanks for the ring pull tip - that's really useful.

          Good ring pull tip Nan2!

I bought, from Amazon a set of the wooden trouser or skirt hangers with the metal clips. I use those for my trousers. I do like the flock ones for dresses and jackets but don't have many (hangers not dresses)
We each hang our own clothes in our own wardrobes, so I don't really know what hangers OH uses.
I try not to look into her wardrobe. When I catch a glimpse if she has the door open it's SO tidy, like a shop. Mine sadly will never look like that

A few years ago DS1 and DIL got new bedroom suite made, their hangers didn't fit like they should so I got all their matching wooden hangers, before that, like Daisy, it was mix and match!

I have too many clothes though, one part is double with blouses and tops at the top, colour sorted, then jackets etc at the bottom, then next one has the longer clothes and the last tee shirts etc folded, oh and jumpers! That is my dressing room, in my bedroom I have a very old wardrobe, my precious jackets are in there on comfy hangers!!

I'm with S my wardrobe is so tidy I have trousers then tops then cardigans then dresses , in order of length
I also have shelves on one side that my handbags and shoes go in , on the other I have a tall slim drawer unit for underwear and jewelry box etc
its a 12 ft sliding wardrobe unit
wardrobe is in the spare room

Bs is the same as I hang all his stuff
his wardrobe is in our room
Top rail on one side is shirts and jumpers with drawers under for underwear
there's a unit in between then the other side top rail for all his T shirts and all trousers on rail below .

I don't fold anything in drawers it's all hung up . I told you I was OCD 🤣

Oh dear I fear I am a slob without matching hangers. I do use the black sloping ones for tops and jumpers. I use the ones with bars for my troucers. I must get some of those plush non slip ones for silky tops.

I must admit that apart from using the soft padded hangers for my blouses it's usually 'first come first served ' attitude.
We sold our wardrobes before we moved here as our bedroom has one long fitted wardrobe that we share and I have given up trying to construct any sort of organisation of our clothes.
Hangers are the least of my annoyances as OH is a 'just hang it anywhere ' attitude. .
We do have a his and her side , mine is tidy and in order , his side takes on an appearance of clothes on a rail in a shop that's holding a sale, everything just rammed after countless bargain hunters have had a good old rummage in it

Mimi, we have separate wardrobes and both of us are guilty of having far too many clothes. OH's are rammed in so tight I think the doors will just burst open one of these days! But he carefully curates his empty hangers on the bottom rail - the posh wooden ones you'd hang a suit on.

All this talk about hangers is making me feel guilty though. My t-shirt drawer is overflowing and everything is creased. I fold everything when I iron it and really old t-shirts for gardening, painting etc get rolled up. They seem to survive better than the carefully folded ones. I need to rethink this strategy, don't I.
