I am very much a trousers person but in the summer I do like to wear a dress , I have quite a few but some I don't wear and others are my favourites that I bring out every summer and I hate to get rid of them , Went for some bread this morning and went to have a look in Yours fashion came out with two lovely long sun dresses one is Black with white polka dots and the other is sort of purple and bluish flowers , soft cotton and just the right length ,as im only 5ft 2inches getting a long dress that doesn't have to be taken up isn't easy , Plus they were only £23 each well I couldn't pass them up at that price , Going to have a look online as the cashier said she thinks there was more colours in that style ,so may end up with more

I don't wear dresses very often.I'm more into skirts/trousers and tops.I know what you mean about things being too long, as I'm only 5ft just. I have started getting my trousers from Bon Marche, as they do a shorter length which is just right for me.Last time I was in there, I asked why they don't do shorter length skirts.Shop assistant said there is no call for them. It's a shame, because I have seen some lovely skirts in there, but they are way too long.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Well done Oma on grabbing a bargain,I have got my two bargain dresses for my holiday but then I saw a lovely strappy dress in the Tesco sale,so may pack just that and two maxi dresses. But unlike you I had to lop off about 9 inches on the maxi's to get them to ankle length."What doesn't kill us,makes us stronger."

Since I have been seconded I have mostly been in jeans and tops. I have only really worn skirts and dresses on special occasions. I do have a lot of dresses and skirts though. Tomorrow I am doing a site tour with special needs students at Kings Cross and it is so hot here I think I would be uncomfortable in normal jeans. I think I will wear a pair of light brown chinos which are not as thick.
I am going to have to get re-used to wearing skirts, proper trousers and jackets when I go back into the company. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

I get jeans from Bon Marche, Oma and Nan2, as I am also vertically challenged, and they are cheap too
I have a couple of long dresses from there which I bought last summer, in the David Emmanuel range. They are short enough that I don't trip over them“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
