    Comfy Floaty cotton frock!

Finally tracked down where my comfy floaty bra free cotton dresses came from just as the rain is forecast for tomorrow. They are on wowcher (photo attached hopefully). It’s difficult to see clearly but the bodices do have shirring elastic. The skirt part is very full but very fine and SEE THROUGH so needs a waist slip or, at least, knickers if you are going out. I don’t iron them, just twist the skirt part up tight whilst still wet, then unwind it to keep the crinkles crinkly.

I appear to have four in my wardrobe - do I really need another? The green one looks lovely? I lost and then found this post again but can’t see the photo now. My iPad probably, as it’s on the way out. They are from Wowcher. £10.99 + postage £2.99

OH who has always resisted the idea, has booked us on a cruise in mid October where Michael Ball is one of the entertainers. First ever cruise experience and a bit apprehensive but excited at the same time. A full refund given if COVID causes it to be cancelled.

Shem - thank you for the floaty dress information. I often find my elderly iPad doesn't deal with photos very well, but I can Goggle to find the dress. Honestly? For the price they are, get the green one as well. xx

Where are you cruising to? I'm sure you will have a lovely time and it's reassuring to know that you'll get a refund if COVID means it's cancelled.

Oh, the photo popped up while I was typing. They look lovely - summery colours and I like the scooped neckline too.

Shem, the dressess look nice, but they are not what i would wear.
We have done several cruises in the med and the carribean. Also done a nile cruise.
I know they are not everyones cup of tea,but we like them.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I think they look lovely, but I do like a little sleeve these days. Go for the green one too 🙂

The topic came up elsewhere under keeping cool in our exceptionally hot weather. Since my various cancer treatments I am extra fussy about fabrics and am finding it increasingly hard to find 100% cotton, linen or silk articles of clothing that don’t dig in in the wrong places. These are perfect for comfort and I get a lot of favourable comments when I wear them. They match well with some of my cardigans from Woolovers, Weird Fish, Fat face etc. It’s surprising how much difference even 5% man made fibres cause me to overheat. Even cotton traders don’t live up to their name!

My iPad is so temperamental and I can’t find the cruise - Michael Ball is making 4 appearances, it’s for two weeks in October on the Queen Elizabeth, Cunard, mainly the canaries but also Madeira and a few other places. We wanted a balcony and the person booking upgraded us to one with a better view. I hope this will be the first of many cruises so I don’t have to hang around at airports or sit on planes for hours getting unbearably sore and uncomfortable.

Our COVID vaccination confirmation document arrived this morning. . Not looking forward to pre boarding testing etc but know it’s important.

Be funny if I hate it and OH loves it! I can just enjoy the anticipation for now.

Oh we love Cruise , we have cruised for years been everywhere , I cant imagine having a ordinary holiday now ,
It is strange as I am terrified of water but feel at ease on a Cruise ship .

I love those dresses , Go for the green , they are idea for packing no ironing
Im not fat just 6ft too small

The ones I have came via Wowcher or something similar. I’ve been wearing them for about 3/4 years with no problems.

Shem - isn't that always the way! I ordered some shorts the other day and they've arrived today along with the forecast of rain tomorrow!

Have a lovely time in Devon, whatever the weather. x

I'm sure the dresses are lovely, but I can't see them!

Enjoy your cruise and your break in Devon Shem!

You obviously didn’t dance hard enough Gem. It was very hot on the Friday and my floaty frock did a great job keeping me cool UNTIL the evening when the wind started to blow very hard and my skirt took on a life of its own, not doing much to protect my modesty.
