    Christmas outfits

Do you buy something new for Christmas?
Years ago I always bought something new to wear for the work Christmas night out. Some of the ladies were very competitive and always noticed what you wore and if you had worn it before. Thankfully there is no one like that in my life now, and I just wear what I want!

Now I just buy something if I see it and like it. Last year a navy cotton jumper with snowflakes made of silver sequins. This year a long black sparkly cowl necked jumper. Some years I buy nothing new.
I will probably wear the sparkly one on Boxing day. Just being us and mum on Christmas Day I don't bother much, just wear something nice but comfy, not necessarily Christmassy.

I don't usually buy new for Christmas but shopping with my Dil (very unusual) she persuaded me to buy a black blouse with a vest top underneath, it is discretely sparkly. I am going to wear it on Christmas day. Today I am going out for a festive lunch and am wearing a red and black wrap over blouse with a red sparkly wool cardigan. I do no possess a Christmas jumper.

A few years ago DD wanted us all to wear Christmas jumpers so we all bought one and that comes out every year. It suits me as I am a cold soul and saves having to decide what to wear. We take a photo every year so we can look back with fond memories. I don’t think I’d wear it out though, not with Rudolph the red nose reindeer on my chest 😀

Didn’t bother buying anything new because you may recall that back in September I brought a new pair of black trousers and a purple top to wear to a after wedding party but at last minute we were invited to the actual wedding so that outfit was put to the back of the wardrobe and I wore the dress, jacket and hat that I wore DD’s wedding a few years ago.

My neighbour is staying in her nighty all day, but she does that every day of the year !

I'm another one that has never owned a Christmas jumper.

I have never owned a Christmas jumper either, only because I have never seen one I liked enough. I have made a couple of dresses this winter and also purchased a very nice silky top from H&M. I’ll see how I feel on the day. I do love an excuse to wear something new.

I never owned - or even thought of owning a Christmas jumper until about 3 years ago when DS2 decided it would be a great idea for us all to wear one - and he bought them. OH has worn his since, but I haven't because it's a crew neck and the 'wool' makes me feel very itchy and my neck went all red. Plus I didn't like having a squeaky nose sticking out on my chest region! I really don't like dressing up, fancy dress etc, things with slogans on. I'm a proper misery!

I have no idea what I'll wear on Christmas Day - jeans certainly, and whatever top feels right at the time. Oh, and my best pinny over it all!

I usually wear something with red or gold in it on Christmas Day. I have got a fleecy red robin top, but it is usually too hot to wear on Christmas Day.

Ah yes Daisy, the Christmas pinny! This year I have a choice. 😆

I can't stand any clothes up to my neck as I get too hot. Jumpers are definitely out. If I got a Christmas top it would be one that said 'Happy Birthday Jesus"😂😉

Haha - exactly the same as me, although I do have a couple of very thin v-neck jumpers, but hardly ever wear them.

I wear jumpers, even polo neck ones in the winter, I am a cold mortal, but I do not possess a Christmas jumper. I shall be wearing a thin blouse on Christmas day, but I will have a wrap in case I am cold.
