I wear it everyday. Foundation in winter and tinted moisturiser in summer, bronzer, blusher, eyeliner and lipstick only eyeshadow and mascara are added if we are going ‘out’. I have always done it even when I had babies, it makes me feel ‘dressed’ rather than slopping about.

Avo - I think that's brilliant. Bronzing pearls are my first port of call if I look even paler than I usually do. It just takes the paleness off without feeling heavy. I also add eyeliner and eyebrows, as a sort of half way thing for popping to the shops or picking the girls up from school.

Lipstick never seems to last 5 minutes, but I've discovered Max Factor Lipfinity which is brilliant for staying put. It's in two parts - colour, which takes about1 minute to 'set' then a clear lip salve type of thing which you touch up as necessary to protect the colour underneath.

When I was at work full time specially when selling houses I had the full make-up and hair every day,I toned it down when working for the Charity until I retired and now just have a blob of BB cream every morning which does me for the day I may use mascara if going out shopping but very rarely as my eyes are very sensitive, and now my hair is just tied up in a pony or in a bulldog clip no more fiddlely styles for me.

https://www.lookfabulousforever.com/uk/philosophy I bought this foundation designed for older skin and found it better than my usual Boots No 7. I have good intentions about wearing make up but we all know what happens to good intentions! I do use Magic Mineral most days though as it is so quick and easy.

That’s interesting Shem. I’d looked at this too but didn’t know whether to try it or not, how did you find the colours compared to Boots?

I don’t always wear make up, always use moisturiser though everyday, I use L’oreal Rose tinted , and draw my eyebrows on as I don’t have any due to my thyroid problem, if I am going somewhere remotely decent I will wear eyeshadow and mascara plus lipstick, and if I am going somewhere more than decent it’s the full lot all the above plus, blusher, highlighter and kohl pencil ,a thing I do whenever I am going out but isn’t make up is perfume, I have a day one and a posh one for special times

Qwerty - I love perfume, and used to wear it every single day when I was working. But when I started helping DS2 and DIL in their shop I had to stop because DIL is so sensitive to it and most perfumes give her a terrible headache, and I got out of the daily habit. Now I only wear it if I'm going out (without DIL2!)

Nearly forgot! When I remember I also use Simple brightening moisturiser on my cheek bones.

Also forgot about this: “If you think you’re in between shades or are still confused, remember that we have a 30 day free returns policy so if you do purchase the wrong shade we can exchange it for you or alternatively provide you with a full refund”.

Perhaps my New Years resolution should be to make more of an effort!

                                Reading all this - perhaps I need a make-over of my make-up!

I'm not at all sure what BB is, or serum. I keep seeing micellar water everywhere, but don't know how it's different from H2O. I do know what highlighter is - but have never used it. I like eyeliner but find it difficult to do my upper lashes. I use a khol pencil because I think the liquid eyeliner gives a very hard line. I treated myself to some posh night cream a few weeks ago, from the brand I always use, and it's nice to use, but I don't know if it's made any difference yet!!

Plant - you can get 'make up glasses' where you can flip one lens up out of the way while you do that eye, and then the same with the other. I think they have reading glasses type of prescriptions in them.

Qwerty - of course you're worth it! xx
