My mum, got a first class report at her review. BP, bloods and everything fine. Weight slightly down but nothing to worry about. She came out very happy, and having had her flu jab done. Very good for 89 year old smoker!!βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Great news Gem. What is her secret? Aggie, the world is your lobster now. Any loo, any time, any place!
My pal is being discharged from hospital on Monday, all being well. She has had life saving surgery and has come through with flying colours.Last edited by Grauntie Mag; 30-11-2017, 11:56 PM.Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.

Aggie - that's really good news - the freedom of all the public loos is now years. You've done very well - major surgery and moving house.
Gem - your mum is amazing.
GM - I'm sure your friend will be celebrating her discharge on Monday. Send her all the Grannies' best wishes. x"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Great news Aggie and GM
I think 1928 was a good year to be born! My mum, her best friend and my auntie (Dads sister) were all born within a few weeks of each other. Despite minor ailments all are going strongβA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Next Wednesday we have some friends coming over for the day. We've known each other for nearly 40 years and between us have 5 sons who spent a large part of their childhood together. They moved to France some years ago so of course we don't see them so often. But they are in the UK for a week and spending the day with us on Wednesday. Really looking forward to seeing them.

My little Tomboy cat, aged 18, climbed the loft ladder with no problem today. I love it when she does, as it shows how fit and healthy she is. I'm very lucky to have her, and her sister who is the same the same age (but not a ladder climber)βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Gem - well done, that cat. I bet she was really pleased with herself.
Qwerty - peace, perfect, peace. How lovely.
You're right about it being good to have friends. We haven't seen them for over a year - they came over for her 70th birthday last May. But we know we'll just pick up where we left off.

I've written in the Chatbox about our lovely day with our friends yesterday. We enjoyed every minute and when we were saying goodbye my friend said it's so lovely to spend time with people you don't have to explain everything to because they know you so well."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are.
