Resurrecting this thread to talk about nice things and get away from the C...............word 😀
Trying hard to be positive, keep ourselves busy and to NOT keep reading all the news bulletins.
So. Today the sun is shining, it feels lovely and fresh outside and we are going to spend as much time outside, even if we just sit in the sunshine for a bit. When I go to bring Dexter back I will come home the long way round and take him for a walk, he’ll enjoy that and it’s exercise for me. We have a list of things to do to keep us occupied so that will keep us going for a while.
Any hints and tips on ways to keep all our minds off all the doom and gloom, please post here 😀😍"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss

Something nice just happened. Our neighbour next door, a young couple, have just popped a note through the door saying if we need anything, shopping, etc to just give them a ring and they will help. How kind is that. I’ve just rung him to say thank you and had a lovely chat, they are a nice couple. Really made my day.Last edited by Enfys; 16-03-2020, 10:08 AM."Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss

Enfys, I do agree with you, try to keep our mind of what is going on! I usually go to the gym on a Monday, closed, so I went for a walk through the park using my Nordic poles! Music helps me walk. I enjoyed it, so much that I have ordered new shoes as I felt these were weakening. Lovely and sunny here so will get a bike ride in.

How lovely of your neighbours Enfys
Our elderly neighbours whose cat we look after have a DD many miles away and a DS in Doncaster. He is over here a lot, but not on the doorstep, and works, so I emailed them over the weekend to say anything you need just let us know.
Positives today, it is a fine day, we will have nice drive into the country to see my beloved auntie.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I heard that in China they can now see the sky as there's less pollution & can hear the birds singing.
OH was walking the dog this morning & was stopped by our neighbour. He said he's organising a circle of 5 sets of neighbours to exchange numbers in case anyone needs help. Good will come from this awful situation I'm sure."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

I have taken the dog for a long walk this morning , coming back and a young woman coming over the bridge from our shopping mall had 4 bags of shopping and I heard her tell a lady who she had stopped to talk too that they were for a couple of people in the bungalows , she said she had put letters through their doors last night and called this morning and two bungalows had needed shopping , How lovely was that ,

Our road's FB group is setting up all sorts of support for those who need it during the Coronavirus emergency. It's bringing people together in a way that even the broadband problems didn't!
