    Observant

When we got the drive done a month ago , they put orange netting around to stop anyone going on it and held it down with edging bricks,
After a week we could take it up and drive on it ,
B folded the netting and stacked the bricks on top at the bottom of the drive ,
We rang the boss said they could come pick them up ,
We are talking about at least 50 edging stones not cheap either.
No one came so every few days B text they kept promising to come and didn't ,
So on Tuesday B text said he was giving it till Friday if they hadn't came for them he was taking them to the tip as he would assume they didn't want them.
    They were still there yesterday,
Anyway after lunch we went to Home bargains came home pottered around then about 7pm I looked out of the window and they were gone ,
I looked at the door bell camera and they had came While we were out,
We had driven onto the drive and not even noticed they were gone ,

I said to B well that was very observant of us
He said they been there so long they became part of the drive 😁

They must waste a lot of money if they keep leaving stuff on jobs,
Our neighbour had their drive done a couple of weeks ago the same as ours and stuff is still waiting to be picked up,
Wouldn't you think they came for ours they would have taken that as well.

Oma, I had to laugh at you and B not missing the edging bricks. But you stop "seeing" things after a while, don't you.

We've got a local WhatsAp group for any kind of stuff you want to get rid of, and there's nearly always somebody who can make use of it, even if it's just a bit of fencing or, as the other day, a box full of jam jars. There are also expensive items, like recently an unused single bed with a new mattress and a headboard. We had some sharp sand and cement left over from a job on the patio and it was snapped up in less than 10 minutes. But it's putting things to good use. You can also ask if there's something you want, or would like to borrow for a short time. It's very useful.

Oma, about missing the brick edges, the other day our green (undergrounds) container was removed to be cleaned and a huge container placed there, the next day they came to put the other one in its place, my neighbour said " I think they were mistaken by the street as we already have one", she walks her dog 4 times a day and didn't even realise that there was a huge container placed there!!!

Lizzie I think you become blind to things ,
We really should be aware of our surroundings but it's so easy to just not notice 😁

This is probably why my OH often can't find something that's "hidden" in plain view!

I asked OH to peel some potatoes and carrots one evening when we were away in the caravan recently. He was quite grumpy about there not being a peeler in the van. I was sure there was but he'd searched the cutlery drawer and said there definitely wasn't one. Of course, it was there in the cutlery drawer all the time, but our kitchen one is black and this is white so that's why he couldn't see it!!! D

                I think that's a man thing Daisy,
My DD and myself said only on Wednesday , we know where everything is in the house.
SIL was looking for something ,
DD. said it's upstairs behind the box next to the radiator in our bedroom

B said your mam is like that she knows where everything is even if it hasn't been used for years .
