    Interesting day

Well it's been a day and a half,
We were meeting DD and family for lunch in Sunderland,
Well we haven't been for years and this restaurant was something new to us ,
So we set off early to get parked .
Just as well we did as without us knowing all three highways were closed so it was a 3 mile detour.

Managed to get in the multi storey car park as it was packed , there was a massive food festival on and entertainment,,
    So everywhere full.

Got to the restaurant and ordered our food , 4 of us had Sunday roast but DD being a vegetarian had a mushroom pie with veg and so did B,
Food order came out , Lucie had ordered beef and they brought chicken ,
So she said just leave it I will have it but the young server said I will go get some beef for you,

We started to eat and DD said my pie is still frozen then B tried his and his was the same.

SIL went and got the server she put her finger in the pies and was shocked ,
She apologised and took everything away ,
Said it would be a while before new ones came out , so we had all finished our dinners well before then.

When they did arrive both DD & B agreed they were delicious,

They did serve a round of drinks and deducted 3 meals from the bill , their meals because they were cold and Lucie's because they got the order wrong even though she did bring beef out for her.

On the way out as it was in the centre of town B and myself went into Primark,
I tried a dress on and be tried some Jeans on,

Came out went to car park and a huge cue the ticket machines were on a go slow ,
Paid our £3 came out and on way home decided to pop into Sainsbury's,
Just getting out of the car and I realised I had left my new glasses in the changing room in Primark😱

They close at 4 so we had to dash back only had 20 minutes,
Back into the car park and I sprinted to Primark,
Thankfully they had my glasses ,
So back out and another £3 paid.

Coming along the road got to the traffic lights and as we were going through a lad on an electric bike shot through the red light.
B slammed the brakes on and this boy literally skimmed the bonnet of the car and carried on , cars blaring their horns as he wove in and out of traffic without stopping ,
Some boys standing at the crossing actually jumped and screamed , covering their faces as they thought we had hit him.

That is one young man who isn't going to live long doing things like that.

We are in now and the door is locked,
I'm not chancing going out again .

That certainly was day Oma. Lucky young man on the electric bike.
    Some are oblivious to danger.

I think the restaurant needs to get its act together, but it was good in the end.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

People raved about it so we were expecting great things ,
They did come good but it spoilt my DDs birthday lunch.

I was talking to Bs sister she said a young boy nearly hit her partner on the pavement the other day on a E scooter ,
Said he was going really fast .

These bikes and scooters should be regulated,
They never wear helmets either, even riding a bicycle you have to have a helmet don't you.

Oma, it really was one of those days where you probably wish you'd stayed in bed, apart from it being DD's birthday, of course. It sounds as though the restaurant's chef was on a day off, and although it worked out in the end in meant you ate in two shifts. That's happened to us and it spoils the event no matter how hard you try to carry on as normal.

I think privately owned e-scooters are illegal on the roads (and pavements). The only ones allowed are those owned by "somebody official" and are on stands. I agree they are a menace and being cut up like that at traffic lights is terrifying. But it seems no action is ever taken to stop them.

I don't think helmets are compulsory on a push bike, only a motor bike. We often see families out on our local roads with no helmets which is very scary.

At least you got your glasses back, thank goodness. What a day.

Oma, what a day! What surprised me the most was the charge of the parking!!!!! I pay that for my bike here!!!!

The fat bikes are so dangerous here, so many of them, roundabouts are a nightmare when driving, they come from both directions and always have the right of way in built up area's, plus the fact, it is always the car drivers fault!!!! Helmets aren't compulsory here with cyclists, only the racing group, well, that isn't compulsory either, only when taking part in a race, I must say 99% wear them though when on the racing bikes.

A pity about the lunch, fancy someone putting a finger in a meal!!!

Lizzie she only put her finger in as we told her too to prove it was still frozen in the middle 😁

I think every bike no matter what it is helmets should be compulsory,

I actually had a bit of a nightmare last night , I woke thinking we had hit him.
A Sainsbury's delivery driver he swerved around further on was blaring his horn he swerved right in front of him ,
It's not as easy to see in a van than a car when they are right in front of you unexpectedly.

Trouble is they have no number plates and they all have balaclava's on so you can't even identify them ,
We have it on dash cam but no point going to the police with it they will have nothing to go on.
