    Dolls!

There has been some discussion on another thread about dolls.
It seems several people didn't like them.
    Did you?

I loved dolls. I still love dolls and regret that only having one GD, now 16, I have no excuse to buy any! GS3 still plays with the baby doll I bought him but I doubt he will want other dolls.

My mum loved dolls, as did all my DDs and my GD.
I have several friends who didn't and my OH would always have preferred Meccano!

Oddly, for someone who loves babies, baby dolls were not my favourites. I had a doll called Angela with strawberry blond long hair. The only long haired doll I had and I spent HOURS brushing her beautiful hair!
Later I loved my Sindy doll, but she had short hair.

I had a black doll called Mandy,
I loved that doll , sadly she got lost in the move along with several other things we think was in the same box sent to charity by mistake ,
As I said in the other post my late sister didn't like them ,
I remember her getting Pamela her doll and my mother being furious when she discovered Pamela 's blond curls had been cut to the scalp along with her eye lashes pulled out ,
She looked a lot like your graphic Gem.

The two grandsons had baby dolls when little ,
GD had barbies , in fact a lot of them .

I had a black doll called Susan, Oma

She was beautiful. In fact I still have her. She is in the loft and needs her limbs restringing.

I liked the thought of a doll, but didn't know how to play with them or what to do with them. I thought they were a bit spooky, but "girls like dolls" don't they, so I thought I ought to like them as well. Talk about gender stereotyping!

          That's true Daisy,
When the boys wanted to play with dollies we didn't stop them ,
At first my DS wasn't too sure but I reminded him action man was a doll, just a different type like a Cindy or Barbie.
          He soon saw no harm
Our SIL was always fine with it .

We gave our 3 DDs cars and trains, but they weren't really interested, much preferring dolls and crafting!

I loved dolls when i was little.
Neither of our grandaughters bothered with dolls.
I've posted a photo of my dolls in Granny support, because i'm too lazy to resize them.

Thunderstorms were forecast for us this afternoon, but not had anything yet.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
