On the way home from nursery little E and I went to Sainsburys.
I needed more cat food ( we have lots but cats are fussy so I wanted our cat sitter to have plenty of options to offer them)
We picked up a couple of other things including blueberry muffins.
I went to pay and my card was declined
I was puzzled at first then remembered that my new card was in my bag, which was at home. The card it replaced was still in my phone case and that was the one I was trying to use.
I had no option but to go home and come back. I could have just left it and they would have put it back, but I wouldn't have been able to get the cat food any closer to home.
It's a good job little E is so a good and mature 3 year old. I explained to him and he understood and had no complaints.
I told him I was silly. He said ' maybe a BIT silly '
We came home, both went to the loo, got the right card and back into the traffic again.
He had told me he was looking forward to his muffin, and he certainly deserved it!
I have cut up the old card and E put it in the bin
