Nanto, that is good, we have a market here in the village, certainly not what it was, I think 3 or 4 stalls at the moment, in the next village where DS1 and family live, it is so big, so many stalls, very popular and busy, most of the people out of this village go there. Delft was always worth a visit, it has gone down hill a lot, Rotterdam is still popular though.

Lizzie, it's hard to keep a market going these days. Some years ago the Chamber of Commerce in a local town managed to get its ancient market rights acknowledged and for several years a weekly open air market thrived. But gradually, some stall holders drifted away and now it's a shadow of what it used to be. It's very sad.

We always had several large markets but one buy one they closed ,
We do have a long established indoor market that has been around since before the war,
Not a huge one mind but popular,
Also a indoor market in Durham ,
Newcastle have a market on a Sunday on the quayside,
It used to be brilliant , it's now just mostly food trucks and the odd artisan bread stall .Im not fat just 6ft too small
