    Bad postal service

For almost two weeks since 11th, we have received a hospital letter for a girl with the same number and street to ours but in a different part of the city, every day this has gone on.
I keep giving it back to the different postmen that come around explaining , they put it in their bag say sorry and it comes back the next day.

Yesterday as the sorting office is at the bottom of our estate I took it in there and explained what was happening,
They apologised and said they would sort it,

The damn thing has just arrived AGAIN,🤬

I have put it in a envelope with a message to tell her why ,and I'm posting it to her myself.
    Hopefully she gets it ,
I do hope it's not an appointment and she has missed it.

    The service is appalling

B said it's like the Elvis song return to sender 🙄😁

That is so annoying Oma. Hope it wasn't something too iportant for her.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I hope it wasn’t very important and urgent.

Oma, well done for sending on to the right person yourself, but it shouldn't have been your job. I'm sure the girl will be grateful, though.

Makes you wonder how many other letters go astray like this.
It's an entirely different post code and its about 30 miles away.

If I had kept putting it in the post box I could imagine it happening,
But I kept giving it to the post men( never the same one around here) then the sorting office themselves.

I never cease to wonder the NHS dorsnt use email or WhatsApp for appointments. So much more reliable. But that’s perhaps why….

I agree Sum1, its very outdated all this appointment coming through the post business.

Everything from the hospital is on-line here Sum, I had to go the other day, we did have cards, now it is all done with QR codes which we receive by mail on the day of the appointment, I must say it did work well.

Sum1, I can access my hospital records and my GP records via email or my mobile. They send letters electronically and also via post, and send online reminders about 7-10 days before an appointment and again a couple of days before. The phlebotomy service also send reminders. The only downside with the service we have is that the hospital is slow to update records. A recent letter from the hospital to my GP took nearly 6 weeks to be uploaded, although lab results are slightly faster. It's a bit of a faff to log in, especially if face recognition doesn't work for some reason, but they have to be careful with patient privacy and security.
