    Do you Doodle?

I was holding on for a phone call today as the voice at the other end kept reassuring me my call was important to them, and realised I'd doodled all over the piece of paper in front of me. I used to doodle a lot, but realised I seem to have got out of the habit, until today. I don't know why!

Do you doodle, and do you doodle pictures or just shapes and squiggles?

Daisy, I used to, when we used pen and paper.

      Life long doodler here.
When I was in my teens my mum's constant complaint was that the note pad left by the phone for messages was always filled with my doodles,

Maybe that it why we don't do it now? I rarely speak on the phone, and you don't really doodle on the mobile!

Squiggles, patterns, flowers and glasses/sunglasses for me

After I posted this thread it occurred to me that more often than not I'm walking round the house when I'm on the phone, or lounging in a comfy chair. Yesterday I was making a call where I needed to make notes, so was sitting at my desk. So, Gem and Lizzie, I think you're both right. Opportunities to doodle don't happen so often these days.

Gem, what an interesting range of doodles you make.

Definitely, usually random shapes like triangles or stars then I sort of add to them .Don’t make a conscious decision.I’m sure someone, somewhere claims to be able to interpret the meaning of them!😀😀

Clover, your doodles sound very creative. I don't make conscious decisions either - the pen just goes where it wants. It would be interesting if there was a meaning to them though.

Oma, it's all too easy to find yourself doodling over something important. At least yours was only one page of the calendar.
