Yesterday was wet and windy - definitely a day to stay indoors. Today the sun is shining, and it's relatively warm, but the wind is howling round and a delivery driver has just said the Watersplash (ford) in the village is very deep.

High winds at this time of the year are a worry with falling trees - still in leaf and dry weather followed by torrential rain and high wind is quite literally a perfect storm.

Our dog walk was jolly hard work this morning, but it was great to see the ‘white horses’ on the Estuary.

I had to battle the wind when I went round to the surgery for my Covid jab. We’ve not had any rain today ,though yesterday it threw it down. How the last of the apples are still hanging on to the tree I don’t know!

We've had several short sharp showers today, but incredibly a line full of washing has dried. But it's still windy and I don't suppose Eva will want to go out for a walk while it's like this. The noise of the wind in the trees spooks her.

Clover, we've picked all our apples and our very few pears, but I noticed the banana plants' leaves have got shredded in the wind.
