And they certainly have no idea where ‘copy and paste’ comes from.

Funnily enough we were talking some weeks ago and I mentioned the Pig swill man,
He had no idea that we once put all our waste food in a metal bin and the pig swill man would collect it to feed the pigs,

WeeGranny, we have a Scottish friend who always says messages.

I learned to double de clutch as well. The first car I drove had column gear change!

I remember GD1 not believing that we didn't have a phone at home when I was growing up. She thought I meant we didn't have mobile phones, and was totally shocked when I explained we didn't have a landline, and when we finally did we had to wait 3 months for it, and it was anchored to the wall in the hall! Which has reminded me you don't very often hear people say "give me a bell" these days.

You don't hear "put the telly on to warm up" these days.

I remember people saying someone was as dim as a Toc H lamp.
