    What to take?!

On Saturday we are going to a party.

This is to celebrate my ex OH's 70th birthday, his OH's 60th, her stepdad's 80th , plus their 10th wedding anniversary. All happening within a couple of weeks!
A lot to celebrate and they have hired a local hall.

They have specified no presents. Their family will I'm sure will give them gifts for the birthdays and anniversary, but they don't want party gifts.

It feels odd to turn up empty handed however!

I agree , if they have said nothing I would abide by their wishes,
or at the most a afternoon tea voucher .
It's difficult as Plant said at our age there is nothing we want and I'm sure they don't want people spending money on things they don't want and won't use.

Go enjoy the day and don't feel odd 😁❤️

It's difficult, Gem. Would it be feasible to take some photos during the evening of all the people with big days to celebrate and put them into a multi-aperture picture frame?

We did something along those lines for J's sister and her OH's Golden Wedding anniversary. We dug out photos of their 25th and 50th anniversary, and one taken at their 60th and put them in one frame. I think they liked it as they did have it on show in their living room.

(Obviously you couldn't take it with you on Saturday, but could let them have it later.)

The sister-in-law developed dementia and BIL would often pick up the picture and talk about their anniversaries, and she seemed to enjoy that.
