    January brighteners!

Nanto2girls going out for a pub lunch today made me think of things we can do to brighten up this dreary month.
The sole plus point of January that I can think of is the nights getting lighter.

What do you do this make it more bearable, or what would you like to do?

I can think of a few things to help the weeks seem less dire as we wait for spring.

Meals out, meeting with friends, candles and fairy lights, spring bulbs, spring flowers in vase, cinema or theatre trips, booking or at least looking at sunny holidays!

I would also love a warm sunny January holiday, but as my Christmas stocking scratchcards were no good we wont be going

Just some sunny days would help me , I hate the dark days and even darker nights ,
I always feel so tired and uninterested in the winter months .
I do like fairy lights and the fire glow(no real but looks good) on a night .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Being the eternal optimist, I really appreciate that the evenings are getting lighter. I can now take Eva out for an hour's walk at 4 o'clock and get home while it's still relatively light. Despite the awful cold weather which I hate, it's great to see little bulbs sprouting in the garden and other signs that winter is on the turn.

Two blue tits, who I assume are the last years tenants of my bird box, are back claiming tenancy again. I presume the squirrels are hibernating so I will fill the bird feeders again and hope they stay asleep a bit longer.

We love to see the spring bulbs making an appearance, and the lighter nights.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Our squirrels don't seem to know about hibernating. They're still pestering round the bird feeders.
