    Storm Darragh

As most of you know I live in South Wales and last night and today have suffered the brunt of this latest storm. It’s been horrendous and though it is slightly calming down we still have an Amber weather warning ( only recently been downgraded from Red which is a serious threat to life)Last night was scary lying in bed unable to sleep because of the noise and various bangs, bumps and ominous creaks. I dreaded looking outside this morning and was somewhat relieved to see no major damage. The bird table was blown over and broken, despite being anchored with bricks. Pots, bins and anything moveable had been tossed around the garden. My already rickety fence has also suffered. Touch wood no power cuts(yet!)
I sincerely hope if it reaches you you stay safe and indoors.

Clover , I have been thinking about you!
Thank you for checking in, and I'm very sorry to hear how bad it is there.

    Take care xxx

Has got quite windy here now and it has fetched down a large old cooking apple tree but it was suffering with a desease.

Clover, I'm so relieved to hear you are ok, although probably suffering from a sleepless night.

I spoke to my Sister-in-Law who lives right on the coast in north Wales this morning. She said it was horrendous. They had lost 3 fence panels and some panes of glass from the greenhouse, but otherwise ok. While we were talking though, the force of the wind coming right off the sea blew their front door open! They had a red alert for the wind and an amber for flooding (their house has flooded before).

I hope it's all much calmer now, despite the continued warnings, and you can at least sleep in peace tonight.

We have had high winds but nothing like your way Clover,

I bet it sounded scary during the night
Pleased apart from the bird table and the fence nothing else damaged.

Trees down etc but so far I haven't heard of any major damage,
We had to take the wreath off the front door it was blowing up and banging down.

            Raining hard still .
