    So annoying

This morning as I was getting dressed a button popped off my Blouse,
If it had been a bottom button I would have left it but as it was a top one I had to put it on.

Managed to find the button under my dressing table chair put it on the dressing table ,
Went to get my sewing box ,
Came back it was gone again ,
Found it and started to try to thread the needle.
With my eyesight and shaking hands it seemed to take ages,
    Eventually got it threaded ,
Went to pick the button up it pinged out of my fingers🙄
as it’s one of those little ones it’s hard to hold.
Couldn’t find it so came downstairs for a torch to see if that would help.
Found it between the carpet edge and the skirting.

Sat down to put it on and the needle had disappeared 😱
By this time I was starting to boil. Couldn’t find the needle anywhere.

Got another needle out and went through the trial of threading that ,not without many many swear words.
Finally got the button sewn on , put my blouse on only to discover I had used Navy thread instead of Black.

By this time my temper had gone through the roof ,
I was tempted to throw the Bl**dy thing in the bin .

Note to self in future wear another blouse till your less wound up.
I now sport a black blouse with navy thread holding the top button right at eye level but it’s staying ,
Im not going through all that again😡

B is going to look for the needle later as I have no patience left.

    Oh good lord Oma!
Its just awful when one thing leads to another and things keep going wrong.

    Deep breaths

Not the same thing at all, but an example of how one thing leads to another and you wish you never started...
The night before last I got up to go to the loo, and both kittens were asleep by the bathroom door as they often but not always are.
Not wanting to disturb them I went downstairs to the loo. I came out to find them both waiting for me and running to their dishes. It was 5.30. I decided I had to feed them so gave them half a pouch each, a pre breakfast. By then I was fully awake! I went back to bed but didn't sleep.

Oma, I think there's a little gremlin that lives in all our houses and every so often its lust for mischief spills over and becomes very tiresome. Yours was obviously super-active this morning!

Gem, I get conned regularly by Eva. I've usually just sat down and put my feet up when she comes and sits in front of me with big, pleading puppy-dog eyes, asking to go in the garden. So I get up, open the kitchen door for her and wait ... and wait ...and wait, only to find she's stopped at the freezer and wants a sprat. I usually give her one so I can go back to sitting down feeling I've gained the moral high ground.

If I had caught that gremlin it would have been strangled 😁
These animals know how to get their own way.
I always keep a zip bag with treats in my bag for Storm , if we go out for coffee etc I always have them handy.
I put my handbag behind my chair .
He will try to squeeze behind to sniff my bag and if he can’t he will just stand looking behind the chair till I get them out 😁

Oma, Storm is a smart dog! He has patience too.

I have a routine when I take Eva out - pooh bags in my left pocket and a treat bag in my right. If I call her to me she will always come to the right hand side and look at my pocket, look up at me and back at the pocket. And they say dogs can't talk!!! I don't mind, as it's made her recall a lot better.

Sorry Oma but you gave me a giggle too! I do hope the rest of your day was gremlin free.

Oma, the burning question is: Have you taken the button off and redone it with black cotton?

I’d never have thought of that!

                            Oma, brilliant solution.

Grauntie, neither would I, but I do remember splashing one drop of bleach on the cuff of a bright pink blouse and disguised it every time I wore it by dabbing pink whiteboard marker on it!

Not sure where to put this. GD’s OH has just burnt one of my copper bottom saucepans. I believe and hope one of you lovely ladies has a method to remove it. We have treated it with vinegar and bi-carb but nothing happening so far. He is trying boiling it, fingers crossed.
