Don't forget the clocks go back an hour this weekend.

Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Thanks for the reminder, Nanto. I had got it into my head it wasn't till next week. Wishful thinking probably because I hate the dark evenings.

When the hour alters I always think about how complicated/tedious it has become making sure all clocks, watches, timers etc are changed. I'm sure my grandparents had one clock - in the main living room - and that was it. I don't know if they had a bedroom clock as well. My grandad wore a pocket watch.

I can't even count the number of clocks, timers etc in our house, and at this time of the year they all need to be altered or at least checked. We must be so driven and ruled by these gadgets. I never wear a watch, but when I think about it if I do need to know the time I don't have to search far to find something that will tell me!

I don’t set the clock on my cooker, Kitchen clock re-sets itself, sil does the central heating clock. I have a couple to re-set myself. Not sure about the car clock.

Plant, my car clock is generally right for half the year

We don't bother with the cooker clock.

We have 6 clocks to reset including the garden one. The conservatory clock requires climbing on a stepladder to reach so that often waits weeks to be changed.

Gem, I usually leave me car clock on summer time, because I like that better, but you can guarantee that if it has to go in to the garage for any reason they set it to what it 'should be'!! It feels a bit unreasonable to complain though.

I hate it. So does everyone I know. It was paused in 1970 and was a success but the Scottish farmers made a huge fuss and back it went.
Not only that the cat doesn’t know and makes a fuss for her supper an hour too early.

Sum1, I also remember how lovely it was when the clocks didn't go back. Eva is still asking for her dinner at 4 o'clock!
