There was a programme on television last evening, put me off completely.

Lizzie, I think this sort of thing can happen on any selling site. The trouble is you don't know who the bad guys are until something goes wrong. I hope you get your money back.

Plant, I saw that programme too. The main worry seemed to be the sale of prescription meds - without a prescription needed. But you wonder who would buy meds like that.

Daisy, the seller packed and posted it, I can follow all that, it is the distribution centre that has the problem, with Vinted the seller only receives their money when the buyer receives, and accepts the item !

Lizzie, how frustrating. I've never used any seller site, so I'd no idea about the ins and outs. It sounds good if it all works as it should.

Two of my DDs seem to buy most of their wardrobe from Vinted!

I'm sorry you have had that problem Lizzie, it certainly seems to work well in general, from the experiences of family and friends.
The items I sold all arrived and so did my payments.

I have bought a new with labels Mountain Warehouse gilet and an almost new Peppa Pig Halloween top for GS3. Both arrived with no problems.

Unfortunately I have yet to sell any of my items which don't have labels.

I received a message on Wednesday that my parcel had been delivered to the agent, it is in the next village so off I go. The poor man couldn't find my parcel and became quite annoyed with me, I tried telling him it wasn't my fault, after a while his wife quietened him down and all they could think off, was, the delivery man had dropped a few parcels off that morning, but, took quite a few back with him????? He told me to wait a few days and go back, later the same day I got a message from the delivery that my parcel had been returned to the sender!! I got in touch with the sender and she called me a thief.

I hadn't even seen the parcel let alone take it! I got in touch with Vinted, had to send photo's of a hand written letter etc, I haven't heard anything since though.

Lizzie, I agree with Gem. Well done for keeping on trying to trace this 'invisible' parcel.

I have got the refund from Vinted, they called it a "cancellation", I call it something else, I got the money back so that was my Vinted episode!

Lizzie, glad you got the money back, but I imagine you won't be too keen to use Vinted again?
