    New to Vinted!

Friends of ours have both lost a lot of (planned) weight recently.
One of the couple has expensive tastes and some lovely clothes now too big.
They took a lot to the charity shop but decided to sell some of the 'designer labels' on Vinted. We were at their house the other night and they were telling us this.

I have several items, some my mum's and some mine which are all new with labels. I have been put off using Vinted as I heard the prices are low on there.
It did sound very easy when our friends described it, and as they rightly pointed out , a small amount back is better than none, considering that all these items have been in our spare room for years!

This afternoon I posted several items and sold 3 of them straight away!
There are no fees to pay and the buyer pays the postage.
I have QR codes for the things I have sold, so have to put those in lockers outside the Co Op
    I will report back.

I joined Vinted last year. I put some things on still with labels.
After 3 months, there was no interest,so i deleted my account.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Gem, well done. I've never tried Vinted, but I've never tried FB Marketplace, EBay or even Freecycle either. Well done to you for having an immediate success.

It's surprising how many people sell things they've never worn, although in your friends' cases I suppose they now longer fit.

My DIL1 regularly clears out her wardrobe and sells items but I'm not sure what sites she uses. She is well organised and even had a mannequin/tailor's dummy to use for photos.

I've been meaning to have a wardrobe clear out for ages, but with one thing and another haven't got round to it, so I've decided this Autumn is a good time to start. GD1 makes most of her own clothes, mainly from charity shop finds, so I've asked her is there's anything she'd like for the fabric before the whole lot goes to a charity shop.

My DD uses Vinted both to sell and buy,
She is a lover of Doc Martin boots and recently bought a pair of special edition ones that she had seen on sale at £500 , she got them for £70 on vinted.
New still with the tags on.

My hairdresser sells everything on vinted,
I have never used it to be honest but I have lots of stuff I could do with getting rid of 😁
I usually just take them to the charity shop.

Oma my friend posted on FB some lovely pink DMs she got really cheaply on Vinted which had been worn once.

We take most things to charity shops, but I wanted to recoup a tiny bit of money on things I bought that weren't right and I never sent back!

I have sold DM's from the girls on Vinted, also boots from myself, I have tried it with clothing, but, not really worth the hassle, I had clothes of the girls and take them to a "boutique" here in the village, the lady started it 35 years ago, they are sold on a 50/50 base so we don't earn a fortune, what isn't sold that season goes to charities for the Ukraine, Ghanda etc so the clothes are well used.

I did buy myself a "new" Tenson jacket on Vinted, not that I needed it but so cheap, I have worn it a lot as well.

                Well exactly Oma!
It is very easy to upload the photos from your phone and write a short description. You don't even have to write or print any labels in most cases, just use the QR code and put them in locker. They tell you where the local ones are.
I will be posting the 3 items today..... I will let you know how that goes!

I don’t have any items with labels still on them. I don’t think I am an impulse buyer, mostly buy on-line so it goes back if it isn’t right. I do however have items I like that don’t fit anymore, I am hoping always to get into them in time if I loose weight.

I ordered some assorted parcel bags from Amazon which arrived too late yesterday to parcel and post so I will post tomorrow. Busy with GS3 today.
I have sold one more item and listed a couple more.

                    On a roll now

Wow, Gem, at this rate you could change your whole wardrobe.

I purchased? a jacket on vinted, my first buy, and last, only saw it as it was. my favourite label. I got a message each day the first week, it should have arrived on the Friday, held up in distribution , that is a fortnight ago, so, I don't think it will arrive, I can ask for a refund on November 8th, but, from all the complaints I read I doubt if that will happen.
