    Shopping.

I hate it. OH loves it, having been in retail all his working life.
Yesterday we went to Lakeside, our local large retail outlet. M & S had their grand opening of their new store. Had I known I would have stayed at home.
OH was in his element, back in store managing days, BHS.
    On to Costco, nightmare!
Today I went into Southend. I need a pair of court shoes, it’s Hotter or Clark’s or go barefoot! £80! Couldn’t do it, but I’m going to have to bite the bullet tomorrow.
TackyMax came up trumps with not much trauma, a dress and top, good fit, good price.
How did I hook up with an ardent shopper?
Am I the most miserable shopper in the U.k.?
Does anyone hate it as much as me?

Grauntie I am not at all keen! I have never seen a shopping trip as anything fun. The exception being shopping for my DDs when they were children .

Online shopping has been a blessing for me! I do quite enjoy a good browse from the comfort of my living room, at my own pace, with no bags to carry home.

My OH likes to go shopping for clothes in person and quite enjoys a supermarket in-person shop. There's no accounting for taste

I hate clothes shopping, its my worst nightmare. I clothes shop online as much as possible.
Oh hated supermarket shopping, but i didn't mind it,but now i have it delivered.
He didn't mind if we went in for just a few bits, but i liked to have a steady browse.
We don't mind looking in other kinds of shops.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Grauntie, we must be soul mates. I really, really hate shopping for anything.

You trail from shop to shop, looking at all the 'frog' shoes before you find your glass slippers, you find the perfect dress/trousers/top, whatever, only to find they've got it in every size - except yours, you go to the supermarket, and so does half the world at the same time. They've moved everything round - it used to be cleaning materials and now it's cereals, but not the muesli. Oh no, that's two aisles away, with biscuits. As for expecting me to do the supermarket's job of ringing up my goodies and paying for them - I really don't see why they think I'd enjoy doing that.

If I give your OH a list, would he mind, please ... Actually, what does he think of today's chain stores? Thinking back, there must have been a 'golden' era for shopping, and BHS was always one of my favourites.
