Yet another scam

Friday I received an email supposedly to be from the TV licence department. I was suspicious of it so I emailed the TV licence department myself this morning and low and behold it iwas scam so just be aware in case any of you recieve something similar
The email claimed that the TV licence department was doing a infrastructure update and I needed to click on the link to complete the application.
That email is a scam so beware of it incase you receive something like that
The thing is I usually get two emails from them at this time of year, one to remind me that the direct debit payment is due and the second one to confirm that payment has been made and I don't hear from them again for another 12 months.
Perhaps because the scam email was sent after the other two it made me suspicious
