    Happy December everyone

Two of OH's great nephews have December birthdays. We only do presents for them at Christmas though, so only birthday cards to send.
A busy month with meals out, GS2's nativity play and the pantomime.
At least 3 of my GC will be having sleepovers here this month.

It's December! Let Christmas begin. Even though I think it's still a bit early.

Two birthdays for us this month - GD2's on the 27th and my God daughter/niece who stayed with us recently, on the 28th.

We haven't got much booked, but on the day we've got a big Christmas lunch booked in Bournemouth OH has also got an evening 'do' with another big meal.

Three birthdays in the immediate family this month. I have almost finished my present buying. But no cards written.

Good grief, December already. It only seems yesterday that we were all struggling with the extreme heat of the summer
To acknowledge that we are now into December we have taken our Christmas coffee mugs out from the back of the cupboard but refusing to get the decs out just yet .

Just two birthdays this month ( None at all in November)

Mimi that reminds me to get the Christmas mugs out!

I have said we have no December birthdays, but was forgetting my lovely auntie! Her birthday is after Christmas so I think I think of it as next year!

Gem, as a family we've incorporated GD2's birthday into the pattern of Christmas - Christmas Eve to GD's birthday on the 27th rather than winding down after Boxing Day. At the moment she feels special having her birthday so close to Christmas, but I don't know if she will feel the same when she's older and past the 'family get together' stage. She has her party with friends in January.

My niece, whose birthday is the 28th said it was ok until she was in her later teens and 20s when she would have liked to go out with friends to celebrate. Everybody would be too busy with family though, and she felt leaving it till January was second best!

I was writing my foreign Christmas cards this morning and realised it's my sister-in-law who lives in America's birthday on the 12th. I got her card ages ago, but nearly forgot to write it. I hope it gets there in time.

It's easy to forget one Oma. I wrote all my mum's cards then realised I had forgotten one for my sister from her! I will buy one next time I'm out.

My auntie has two birthdays! The 7th of 8 children, she was born on December 27th 1928. Her father, when he registered the birth must have got muddled and registered it as December 29th, so that is her official birthdate, on her birth certificate. She celebrates it on the date she was born though, the 27th.

That reminds me of one of dads friends.
Everyone celebrated his birthday on the 12th of april
When he died, everyone found out his birthday was on 19th april.
Even his wife thought his birthday was the 12th.

It must be strange to have two birthdays. I wonder if your Auntie gets two lots of cards and present, Gem.

Nanto, I bet your dad's friend got 'what for' when his wife found out.
