Gem, I'm afraid my jar got neglected in July when we were spending so much time up in Leek after my cousin died. The very first memory of last year was the lovely 'thank you' note from friends we shared NYE with in 2018/9, saying what a beautiful, gentle and loving dog Eva was. We were together again last night, and they commented again on her, so I've got my starting point for 2020.

I have already started on my 2020 Jar of Lovely things. I was shopping in Southsea. I had a phone call from my sister. She was with her hubby and GD in a restaurant having lunch. They spotted me walking past the restaurant and rang me to see if I wanted to join them for lunch. I had already eaten, but I joined them for a coffee. It is always lovely to see my sister, but it was extra special to have a surprise meet up.Always face the sunshine and the shadows fall behind you.

Sunshine, how lovely!
I will start mine with the year beginning with good friends, and so many lovely comments on our Christmas decorations and many pretty lights

I have just read through all of mine for 2o19.
Lots of smiles at happy memories, a few things I had forgotten about, and only tears at my description of time in the sun with my beloved cat , who died 2 weeks later.
I recommend you all to start your own jar for 2020.
