    Molly & Jim

Molly lay in bed with her eyes closed listening to the sounds around her , the sun was peaking around the curtains but she didn't want to open her eyes yet that would mean she had to get up , it was Sunday so it was her turn to have a lie in .
She could hear someone softly crying , that would be Cassy her eldest the Drama queen some young boy at school will have broken her heart again no doubt , she will be determined to join the convent again till the next boy caught her eye . The twins Peter and Andrew were squabbling and she could hear Jim trying softly to quiet them down , poor Jim she really should get up and sort it out Jim never was good at laying the law down with those boys and at 9 years old they run rings around him . She hadn't hear the dog scratching at the bedroom door to be let in maybe he was in the Garden , She must have dozed off again how long for she had no idea but the sun wasn't as bright , At that point the bedroom door opened and there stood her Jim the most handsome man she knew ,
Come on sleepy head time to go , GO go where what you talking about she said where are the children have they had lunch yet ?
Jim smiled and said look around you love they are grown up with children of there own ,
Molly looked around her room and they were all there her Daughter Cassy a fine young woman with Mollys granddaughter Suzy weeping by her side , her Sons Peter and Andrew standing at the foot of her bed her Grandsons with there Red hair standing close to there mother's they looked so alike people took them as twins instead of cousins as they were only 2 month apart in age that was understandable . Turning back to Jim she realised what he meant about it being time to go smiling he held out his hand and she took it willingly Her family would be fine she knew that , Time for her to be with her Jim at long last

Oma - how poignant! A whole lifetime told in a few paragraphs. Thank you for sharing it - I'm looking forward to your next story.
