About the creator of iScribbles
My name is Chris Lightfoot and although I started my working life as a teacher, after a few years I had a complete change of career and moved into the corporate world as a writer and editor. Since then I haven’t looked back (cliché but true).My work as a writer and editor has given me the opportunity to write and edit a wide range of publications including user and training guides, marketing and publicity literature and content for websites. This, together with my experience as a teacher, also led me into a variety of community-based projects. Most notably managing and promoting three local council community websites and working as an IT training officer for a local council.
In both projects I ran workshops, designing & writing my own publicity and training materials. One of the most successful and popular series of workshops I ran was using the internet to do family history research. It was great fun helping people to discover details about their past and discovering just how many stories there were just waiting to be written.
