Just finished my first pair of crochet socks. They are very warm and comfy, will certainly make another pair.

Enfys - well done - they look very professional as well as cosy. It looks a very complicated pattern though. Is the seam a problem with using 2 needles.

To answer my own question - I was telling an expert knitter friend at lunch today about your socks, Enfys, and she said she sews things like that using 'mattress stitch' . She showed me the knitted hood/scarf she had with her and it was really hard to see the join. Very clever.Originally posted by Daisy View Post
