Just got my new specs. Only for close work though so I chose cheapies. Had varifocals last time and tripped over everything, so I'm back to the glasses on, glasses off routine. 🙄

I got a basic Brother HC14 the other day, as I decided l like to have a go at making some things for the grandchildren. Have not used it yet as my daughter have decided she will buy it for me as a Christmas Present.. I told OH I had been out and got one, he said what sort, so I answered a Brother One, his reply was is it a electric one, my reply was they don’t make ones with handles or a treadmill any long. He bit with the reply well I don’t know do I. I’m planning to try making patch work soft toys, small patchwork quilt and I’ve also thought about making the girls a busy book. My 1st product will be a Christmas stocking, followed by a owl cushion with zip, buttons with buttonholes, which I have never done on a machine, pieces with Velcro on and any other things that I can add for Emily to play with.Comment
