Nana - I remember one of my SIL's who is a very good flower arranger was too close to a deadline for a competition to do anything carefully, so she just jammed a handful of blooms into a jam jar, filled with water and called it "Conditioning' - and won!!! Good luck with your 'Schubert' piece!!

Had my reply slip yesterday. I got two accepted & 1 rejected. The one rejected was 'I'll finish it later'. Not my fault if the judges aten't forward thinkers 😂

I'm pleased when I get one in, so to get two in is great Plant. The competition is increasing each year. 👍

Plant it's my town's Open Art Exhibition. Anyone can enter & they do. You can sell your work or add NFS (not for sale). There are prizes too. I often wonder tho' how judges can decide who wins when the works aren't sectioned. ..ie. how can you judge my small textile piece with a 10' x 10' oil painting?

Do you have any pictures you could show us Nana? Good luck with your entries.

Does sound a bit odd Nana, not splitting things into sections. Our village show ( a much smaller affair I know) judge them in categories and then all the winners are judged for best in show. Mary Berry wins the rose section every year but since she has a gardener it doesn't seem fair. Now someone else will have a turn as she is moving to Henley to be nearer to her daughter.

The village show that we go to each year (although couldn't this year as we were on holiday) has lots of sections. A much fairer way of judging!

                          I agree with you all.
There is prize money £250 I think but I just enter to keep my hand in, as it were. I would put up fotos but I have trouble resizing. I managed a couple quite a while ago but can't seem to do it now. Daisy tried helping but it still ended up being a puzzle.

Nana - well done on getting two of your pieces accepted. We're all very proud of you. Next stop Summer Exhibition?

Good luck - I hope you win, although I agree it must be hard (and very subjective) to judge when there are no different categories.

We'll have to have another go at resizing your photos - I'd love to see some more of your work. x

Thanks Daisy. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm still stuck removing a folder of pics but not succeeding.

Nana - could you email me with the problem, including if you can what size your photos are out of camera (ie without any adjustments) If you can email an actual photo as well, that would be great. I doubt I'll be able to do anything until next week - we're away this week from Wednesday until Sunday, but it's bugging me that you can't put your photos up. Apart from anything else, we ALL want to see your work.

When you say you're stuck removing a folder of pics do you mean deleting them or moving them from camera to computer, or computer to external storage?
