    Getting hooked!

I have recently re-discovered crochet and I am hooked . I learnt to crochet many years ago and started again just before Christmas. I have made one blanket and am halfway through another, it is so relaxing. Anyone else crochet? I have joined a couple of online forums for inspiration and am surprised at just how popular it is, especially amongst younger women. We call ourselves "hookers"

I've wanted to learn but haven't had a teacher which makes it so much easier I think. You'll have to put a pic up.

I love to crochet and I have made lots of things. Hats, shawls, tops, baby blankets, even a bag.
Nana have a go from a book or even YouTube. Once you've mastered the basic stitch the rest is easy.

I can only crochet the basic stitch but I have made many blankets for people. I havent done it for a couple of years now and can't quite remember how to do it. I will have to watch you tube to get an idea again. I found it very relaxing and keeps your hands busy.

I've never learnt but may try to teach myself. I do like craft work.

As the daughter of an expert knitter, I am hopeless at knitting and gave up as soon as I tried. In my teens there was a brief craze at our school for crochet, and lots of us it did it in our lunchbreak. Unlike knitting, I quickly got the hang of crochet. Maybe I should give it another go!

Well, I can knit - sort of! I'm very slow and get fed up before I've finished anything - but I've never tried to crochet. It looks so hard! Well done Enfys for rediscovering the skill.

I can't crochet, although I've always wanted to. Even bought two books on it but obviously didn't come under the heading idiots guide I love quilting and making gifts on my sewing machine. Can knit but got bored with it.

I never learned how to crochet.I was a knitting addict though. Whenever I sat down, I had my knitting in my hands, but then the internet came into my life.

Nanto - I must admit it's no contest - Internet or Knitting ????? Let me think for a nanosecond! Yep, Internet wins every time.

That reminds me of the card I sent to DD2. It said 'Internet or shopping? Internet because I can't go into a shop in my knickers with a glass of wine in my hand.'
