    Jewellery and Card Crafts.

My favourite hobby is making greetings cards and I have a vast amount of stock (husband would say too much).I make cards for all occasions and even sell them at my place of work. There are many of our folk who for one reason or another cannot get out to shop, and are pleased they can buy a bespoke card for a loved one or friend. My favourite technique of the moment is decoupage, fiddly but the finished product is pleasing,I have also discovered punches in a big way. The jewellery making is a newer hobby and although I have made a number of things,Im still in learning mode.

I love many kinds of craft, especially jewellery making, and especially with wire. I have been on a couple of silversmithing courses which were brilliant. The next project is fairy king and queen crowns (adult) and having had a look at Pintrest I am very excited. All I need is time.......

Ah yes Pininterst, we will be on there at some point. and what a smashing site and aren't you ladies clever. I have no creative talents at all. I can sew and I can knit but not that well, although I used to embroider and loved that. I went to Canada and when there saw the most wonderful exhibition of hand made quilts ever! I then had a notion to try but nothing came of it. I didn't really have the right equipment. But I did make my daughter's Christening gown and that was well done.

Pinterest is fantastic for ideas on everything I joined on there a few months ago.

I love Pinterest. I've got lots of idea from there for pyrography designs. I'm trying to develop some ideas to complement my OH's woodturning skills. At present I'm waiting for him to finish some chopping boards which I'm then going to burn designs into them to show Onions, Raw Meat etc. Time as always is my enemy!

When I go on Pintrest I find I loose all track of time, I can be on there for hours. I see so many good ideas but I never get round to doing any of them. I'm not particularly gifted in arts . I would love to be able to paint but my talents in that department has not gone beyond a 4 year old ! 🎨

I'm doing a course on felting which is absolutely brilliant! Last week we made a holey scarf and tomorrow we're making a textured panel. It's certainly gives you an upper body work out with all the rolling involved!
