    Mini Mudder at grandson's school!

My grandson's school had a fundraising day today. It was a sponsored 'Mini Mudder'. A wet obstacle race!
Climbing under and over things and through several filled. muddy, paddling pools!
The children did very well. It was a chilly day, unfortunately, but at least this mornings rain had stopped. Every child was asked to bring a towel as well as clothes to do the race in. It took all afternoon, I was very cold by the end! I was glad to be there to see it and support GS though.
At the end the teachers were in 2 teams and did the course. 1 from each team went round, then tagged the next team member who set off. The children loved that! The male sports teacher jumped hard with both feet into the muddy pools, and GS's teacher slipped and fell into one. I felt so sorry for her, but she just laughed and took it all in good part.
There was cake stall so I bought GS 2 buns for all his hard work

I will report back when we know how much money was raised.

Here is a photo of GS about to jump into one of the paddling pools.

Gem - what a great event for the children. The don't seem to mind the cold, and getting wet and muddy is something most of them love!

I hope you raised a good sum.

He didn't go to bed early as DD didn't get home until well after 6 and it was 6.40 when I left, and he was going to have a bath. I tried to get him to have a bath as soon as we got in at 3.30, but he was resistant and just changed his wet things!

Must be the 'in' thing for schools at the moment. Our school has just had one too!
