    A Special Lunch Date

Today I have been to school lunch as a guest of 5 year old GC no. 3. Yes, we sat on tiny stools, (dangerous in the extreme 😬),no the food wasn’t wonderful, but my host was delightful.
The food actually reminded me of school dinners 60 years ago!

Aww, that sound a lovely Grauntie!
I have heard of this happening before, but it hasn't happened at my GC's schools yet.

Pleased you didn't disgrace yourself by falling off the stool.

GM - how lovely. I'm sure No 3 was delighted to have such an honoured guest - especially as you didn't spill your peas! (I hope!!!!!)

Plant, nearly! 😕 Daisy, peas may have tasted better than cabbage. It was roast(?) turkey, nearly raw carrots, cabbage, roast potatoes but unpeeled, and a Yorkshire pud. The gravy was not nice. Fruit or yoghurt for after. I should have taken my own salt and pepper.😏
GS ate all of his with relish.

Qwerty that was my worry but I managed to extract myself without being obvious. 😁 Oma I ooohed and ahhhed in all the right places I think. We were asked to fill in a questionnaire about the food and the staff on the way out, and I just couldn’t give the food a ‘very good’,it got a ‘good’ but the staff got ‘very good’.Gem, I hope you get an invite one day. Nanto he did. We are very close and he had a quivering lip when it was time for me to go.

GM - I think this is a lovely idea - is it a regular event in your GS's school?
