Today was asked if we could pick the twins up from school in September just one day a week , we knew we would be asked just hoped they wouldn’t ask us to take them lol we are not early risers , but the day is dawning when school is just around the corner we will be having them stay for tea too , dil thinks they are a bit young for after school club it’s a long day and I agree , so onwards and upwards

So it will be all change for you in September, Qwerty. Hopefully it will be just one day a week, but I do think DIL is right - they'll be about 4 ½ -ish, and the school day is quite long enough. Our GD2 starts in September too, but she will be closer to being 5.

Nana - it's strange, because I always think the twins are much, much younger than my GD2, but they are obviously in the same school year. GD2's sister started school less than a week after she was 4, but GD2 will be nearly 5! I know that's how the system works, but it seems odd!

Time flies by so quickly doesn’t it....you will enjoy that special time with the twins QWERTY . We will loose gs2 in September to the pre school, and be left with gs3 and the new baby. We will have to find a special time for the two eldest. That’s something I need to start thinking about!Grandmothers are just antique little girls - author unknown

I have to admit that I love having a four year old. It's a lovely age - they are so chatty, spontaneous, interested in all sorts of things and have their own take on the world!

Dil asked if I prefer to pick them up and take them back to her house and give them tea there, and I will be leaving the car on the drive and walking up to school as it’s chaotic at home time I would like to have them at my house and have my little chats with them and drop them back off in my own time so think that’s what we will do
