    Busy day tomorrow

Tomorrow is a busy one so I may not be online until the evening. It is our village carnival. As I am a member of the libraries new Friends group, I will be helping on their stall. I have arranged a Guess The Teddys Name which I will run, but I will also help with the general setting up and running the stall. Plants, cakes and books will be on our stall along with my teddy, and publicity for our group. We need to go at 10.30 (I am dragging OH along!) to help set up. The parade arrives at the field at 12.45, and everything kicks off officially at 1, finishing at 5.

Then we have GD 7 and GS 15 months for the night. GS is going though a (temporary we hope!) phase of waking in the night, so I need to give him a bottle and change him, so a long and busy day!
The children are being collected before lunch on Sunday then we are going to DD3s for Sunday lunch, so a more restful day

It's sunny now Nan2, but cloudy later, according to the forecast. At least no rain is due!

Gem, yes, it sounds busy, but very nice. I hope your Guess the Teddy's Name goes well, and you get lots of publicity for your stall.

        Have a lovely day.

Love village carnivals, although we have village events we no longer have a carnival. Do you have a carnival Queen/Princess?
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Gem, I hope your day goes well. You're certainly going to be on the go all the time.
It is our Carnival weekend here as well with a big marquee on the playing field by our house and events going on all weekend. It started with a Ceilidh last night organised by the Friends of the Primary school and ends on Sunday with a communal church service and a young performers afternoon.Today is the Carnival procession and events and stalls.
I hope the weather stays fine for our events Gem.So much effort is put in behind the scenes to make these important Community events a success.

I hope your GS sleeps all night for you and I wish you loads of luck and lots of cash for your stall

Sorry Glamma, as soon as GC left today we went out!

                        I'm back now.
Teddys name was Cuddles. I didn't decide until the night before, which of the 72 names it would be. I made £21.50 with it, at 50 pence per guess. A nice lady who lives in Leicester won him, here for the weekend staying with friends.
The Friends group made £223 in total, which we are happy with as our first fundraising venture. As we had zero funds, this is at aleast a start to our bank account!
The sun shone all day, and there was a lovely atmosphere, also I got to know some of my fellow committee members better... (and they now know I have a female OH )

And yes I was tired this morning, as the baby woke twice!!

We have had a lovely lunch and catch up with DD3 and SIL today though, and no meal to cook tonight, we are just relaxing!
